Emily Blunt Be Forced to Leave Iron Man 2 for Gullivers Travels?

A couple weeks back it was reported that Emily Blunt had been cast in Marvel’s Iron Man 2. But it turns out that 20th Century Fox has an option on the actress from a deal that was made when she co-starred in The Devil Wears Prada that might prevent the Golden Globe winner from entering the Marvel Universe. Fox wants Blunt to star in Gulliver’s Travels, which is set to shot in the UK starting in Late March, while Iron Man 2 begins production this April in California.
However, Variety says that both Fox and Blunt’s reps were feeling optimistic on Thursday that both studios might somehow be able to accommodate Blunt’s dual shooting schedule. Blunt was supposed to play a former soviet spy named Natasha Romanoff, aka the Black Widdow. During the dueling trade stories, there was even a mention that the character would be Stark’s new assistant, but it was never made clear if that was just another inaccuracy in the reporting.
Blunt and Jason Segel are in talks to join Jack Black in Gulliver’s Travels, with Shark Tale director Rob Letterman taking up directorial duties. Written by Nicholas Stoller and Joe Stillman, the “contemporary re-imagining” will see a travel writer named Gulliver, who takes an assignment to visit the Bermuda Triangle, and somehow washes up on an island where he’s a giant compared to the tiny population. Blunt is set to play Black’s love interest, a princess of the island of Lilliput. Segel will play Horatio, Gulliver’s Lilliputian friend who helps him escape from trouble.
I’m much prefer to see her in Iron Man 2, and I’m sure I’m not alone. I understand that Fox has the legal option on Blunt, but after the whole Watchmen mess, I would think the studio would do whatever they can to try not to piss off the comic book/fanboy crowd.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer seem to be doing pretty well on their second go. Aniston’s got some fire in her lately which has been nice to see, and John Mayer, while often seen as a doucheY player, certainly has his own kind of self-effacing humor which is charming in its way. Even though I don’t trust Mayer because of his track record, I find myself liking him despite my best attempts not to. He can be a paparazzi whore but he’s still funny, and few celebs have mastered the self-deprecating humor like he has.
Aniston and Mayer went out on a date last night and ran into Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. The couples gabbed for a bit before parting ways – according to People, Jen and John were totally into each other.
Sunset Tower Hotel was the place for star gazing Monday night, when Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer dropped by for a late-night meal. “They were positively glowing in the candlelight,” an onlooker said of the couple, who took a corner table in the dimly lit Hollywood landmark, where the couple is frequently spotted. “You could see her classic ‘Aniston smile’ on her face.”
The on-again couple – just back from their jaunt to New York City – talked closely in low tones. But they did take time to chat with another celebrity couple, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, who were dining nearby. “There was a lot of excited talk between the two girls,” the onlooker noted, “with Nicole’s head bobbing up and down as she talked to Jen.” (When Richie star-exited the restaurant a short time later, she gave an “exaggerated, very happy wave” to her new Friend.)
But for most of the night, Aniston, 39, and Mayer, 31, only had eyes for each other. “They were very happy and goofy,” the source added. “They seemed to revel in their privacy.”

John and Jen are really growing on me. I still don’t think John’s going to settle down until he’s in his late seventies, but that’s not necessarily the only measure of his worth. It just depends on what Aniston is looking for from him. Since the day she and Brad Pitt divorced, people have assumed that Jen’s done nothing but try to find someone else to marry. The thought that she might be happy dating and remaining unattached in the long run seems unfathomable to most. But perhaps that’s exactly what she wants.

The Red Dragon has come calling for Shilpa Shetty and the sizzling actress will be soon seen in the Chinese movie Desire. The Celebrity Big Brother star has already signed up for the movie and the shooting is expected to start soon. Shilpa will star opposite actor Xia Yu in the movie which will be made in English and dubbed in Chinese.
Shilpa confirmed the news but said she was unable top reveal much details about the movie but she will start shooting in December. Shilpa is also planning to produce a movies and also has a couple of good offers in hand. She will be next seen in the movie Dostana where her sizzling beach wear in the promos wear has already made headlines.

At last addressing Tina Fey's spot-on impressions of her, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend. We have the Sarah Palin Saturday Night Live video when she appeared on the “Weekend Update” and she was caught raising the roof and bobbing her head while Amy Poehler rapped about the Alaska governer.
The quick-as-a-wink appearance involved Palin talking to show producer Lorne Michaels while Fey does her thing. They're visited by Mark Wahlberg, who wanted to know where Andy Samberg was -- more on that here -- and then Alec Baldwin, who continuously badmouthed the governor while "mistaking" Palin for Fey.
We must admit, it was pretty funny, and Sarah even seemed to have her comedic timing down pretty well. Baldwin feigned embarrassment when Michaels said it was the governor, saying, "I see. Forgive me. I feel I must say this: You are way hotter in person." Palin's reply: "Thank you, and I must say, your brother Stephen is my favorite Baldwin brother." Hoo boy!
It is truly hilarious to see this. Both because you wouldn’t expect this from the real Sarah Palin but also the fact that this is supposed to be a potential candidate for our next Vice President of the United States

Miley Cyrus sweet 16th : birthday party in Disneyland

Miley Cyrus celebrated her sweet 16th birthday party in Disneyland this past weekend. Her actual birthday is on November 23rd. Disneyland at Anaheim, California was closed for the special party. Miley sang 4 songs and the evening ended with a fantastic fireworks display above Sleeping Beauty Castle with 16 giant inflatable candles. Attending guests bought tickets at $250 each. There were around 5000 at the Miley Cyrus Sweet 16 birthday party. Miley Cyrus has a sweet 16 T shirt which she wore for a while for some parts of her party. Throughout the evening, several popular attractions, such as Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean, remained open to partygoers. Additional activities, like receiving a "Hannah Montana" makeover and playing the upcoming Disney Interactive Studios rhythm video game "Ultimate Band," were also made available to attendees
